President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday received a series of high-profile visitors at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos, bringing together prominent figures from Nigeria’s business community, political leadership and state governments.
Among those who paid visits to the President were Africa’s leading industrialist and President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, and the Founder and Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu.
President Tinubu also received Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, and President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, during separate engagements at the Lagos residence.
The visits highlighted the wide range of stakeholders engaging with the President, cutting across the private sector, the National Assembly and the state governments.
Dangote and Rabiu are among Nigeria’s most prominent private-sector leaders, with their business groups playing significant roles in the country’s industrial and economic landscape.
Governor Mutfwang’s visit further brought state-level leadership into the series of engagements, while the visit by Senator Akpabio underscored the continuing interaction between the Presidency and the leadership of the National Assembly.
The President was pictured with each of the visitors during their separate meetings.
Although details of the discussions were not made public, the meetings provided an opportunity for exchanges between the President and key stakeholders from different sectors of the Nigerian economy and political system.
The engagements came as President Tinubu continues to interact with business leaders, political office holders and other stakeholders on issues concerning national development, governance and the economy.
