    How Pat & Gbenga Komolafe Foundation is empowering Youth in Nigeria

    The Pat & Gbenga Komolafe Foundation,

    has expressed its commitment towards  equipping Nigerian youth with future-ready digital skills,  and providing them with tools to thrive in today’s fast-evolving digital economy.

    The Public Relations Officer of the Foundation,  Lilian Nwawuchie stated this during the graduation of  the first cohort of trainees in Digital Upskilling and No Code Web Development.

     She said participants from Ondo, Lagos, Rivers, FCT, Akwa Ibom, Kano and Kaduna States were engaged in hands-on training to develop cutting-edge skills in digital technologies and no-code platforms. 

    Nwawuchie disclosed thag the initiative is designed to empower young Nigerians by enhancing their employability, fostering entrepreneurship, and enabling them to contribute to the country’s growing tech ecosystem.

    “The program culminated in a special graduation ceremony, where participants proudly showcased their projects, ranging from business websites and e-commerce platforms to innovative digital solutions built using no-code tools,” Nwawuchie said. 

    The Programme Director of the Foundation, Mr Josh Emmanuel, said the mission of the foundation is to empower young Nigerians by providing them with the skills they need to excel in the digital world.

    “This graduation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our participants, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements.

    The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the foundation for the opportunity to learn digital skills and improve their living conditions.

    In same vein, Conway Oloruntoyi,  from Ondo state said the digital upskilling programme has been a life-changing experience for him. 

    “Initially , I struggled with basic computer skills. Now, I’m confident in navigating digital platforms, building websites, and even creating apps without needing to write a single line of code.”

    Another participant, Jeremiah Ehije from Edo State said he was looking for ways of transition into the tech space without needing to become a programmer. The  programme has  provided the perfect entry point. 

    “The no-code tools are amazing and I feel empowered to innovate,” he  said

    Similarly,  another beneficiary from Lagos State, Daniel Emmanuel explained that the programme has truly set him on a path to success.

    “I am now confident in my ability to help businesses create an online presence, and I’m excited about the doors this will open for me professionally,” he  said.
