A prominent stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Edet Isong, has commended the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, and the leadership of the APC in the state for the peaceful and successful conduct of the party’s direct primaries across the 31 local government areas of the state.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the exercise, Chief Isong described the primaries as transparent, orderly, and a true reflection of democratic principles and internal party unity.
He expressed profound appreciation to Governor Umo Eno for providing an enabling environment that ensured peace, stability, and smooth coordination throughout the exercise. According to him, the Governor’s commitment to political harmony and inclusive governance greatly contributed to the success of the primaries.
Chief Isong also extended heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for his fatherly leadership, political support, and unwavering commitment towards strengthening democracy and unity within the APC in Akwa Ibom State.
He further thanked the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, the APC State Chairman, and the Secretary to the State Government for their collective efforts, maturity, and dedication in ensuring a credible and peaceful primary election process.
The APC stalwart also specially appreciated all council chairmen across the state for their cooperation, grassroots mobilization, and commitment towards maintaining peace and order during the exercise.
Chief Isong congratulated all the winners that emerged from the primaries, urging them to remain humble, magnanimous in victory, and committed to carrying every party member along in the spirit of unity and progress.
He equally commended party faithful and supporters across the state for turning out massively to participate and vote during the primaries, describing their peaceful conduct and enthusiasm as a strong indication of the party’s growing strength and popularity in Akwa Ibom State.
Chief Isong further called on all APC members and stakeholders to once again come out in large numbers for the forthcoming primaries and subsequent party activities, stressing that unity, participation, and collective support remain essential for the continued success of the party.
He concluded by urging all aspirants, supporters, and stakeholders to embrace peace, sportsmanship, and reconciliation, while working together to ensure victory for the APC and sustainable development for Akwa Ibom State.
