The Executive Chairman of Urue Offong/Oruko Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Uno Etim Uno, has commended Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, for providing critical road infrastructure to the Dakkada Global Oil Palm Limited at Etebi in Esit Eket Local Government Area.
Uno stated this after joining his colleague, the Chairman of Esit Eket Local Government Council, Hon. (Mrs.) Uduak Ikemesit Ikot, and other stakeholders at the commissioning of the 1.35-kilometre Main Access and Internal Roads to the Dakkada Global Oil Palm Limited.
He described the project as more than a road infrastructure, saying it represents a deliberate investment in agriculture, accessibility, employment and the economic potential of the area.
According to him, the intervention demonstrates the commitment of the Eno administration to providing infrastructure that supports economic activities and improves connectivity between communities and key agricultural investments.
Uno commended Governor Eno for recognising the importance of the Dakkada Global Oil Palm plantation and providing the infrastructure needed to reconnect the facility with surrounding communities and stimulate agricultural activities.
He also expressed appreciation to the people of Esit Eket for their warm reception and continued support for the Governor’s administration.
The council chairman noted that the impact of the Governor’s ARISE Agenda was becoming increasingly visible across the state, particularly through projects designed to improve infrastructure and create opportunities for the people.
He called on the people of Akwa Ibom to continue supporting programmes and projects that promote development and improve the economic wellbeing of the state.
“As we continue to witness meaningful projects across Akwa Ibom, we must support and sustain the leadership delivering these interventions for the benefit of our people,” Uno said.
