Operatives of the Kaiama unit of the national drug law enforcement agency recently invaded and obtained thirty thousand naira as bail out from three clinics in the Kaiama local government area of Kwara state.

A staff of albarka clinic who spoke under condition of anonymity explained that the officers came on the 18 of September 2024 and started interrogating them on their qualification, educational attainment and other which ordinarily they know is not the responsibility of the ndlea.

The staffs are calling on the NDLEA chairman Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa to intervene and unravel the mystery behind the Kaiama ndlea operation. In democracy, every institution has it own purview and the ndlea to the best of our knowledge cannot be incharge of clinic regulation.

An urgent check could avert future occurrences.
