It was a moment of emotions and excitement on the floor of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly as the honourable member representing Mbo state constituency and the Chief Whip of the Akwa Ibom State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (sir) Effiong Johnson kjw in a matter of urgent importance, rise to send a special thank you message on behalf of the Oro people to His Excellency the Governor pastor Umo Eno for re-awarding the Oron/Okobo, Nsit Atai road to an indigenous construction company (Hensek Integrated company) for immediate construction.
The member while thanking the Governor who made the pronouncement on Thursday while in Oron for a thank you visit to the area, notes the importance of the road to the entire Akwa Ibom state and the country at large, he further stressed that the people of the area can now breath a fresh air of relief as this road in the past twenty five (25) years has claimed lives and properties, in reaction to this event, the members representing Nsit Ubium State constituency and the deputy leader of the house, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Otobong Bob, member Okobo State constituency, Hon. Bassey Pius and Rt Hon.(Chief) Kenim Onofiok also show appreciation to the Governor for his rapid response to the motion early raised by the Mbo Lawmaker on the deplorable condition of Nsit Atai/Okobo-Oron road, the message was received while the clerk of the house was directed to communicate same to His Excellency the Governor.
