In preparation for the forthcoming Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voters’ registration exercise, the Executive Chairman of Urue Offong/Oruko Local Government Area, Rt. Hon(Chief) Uno Etim Uno, barked on an inspection visit to the INEC office in the area.

‎The Chairman, who was accompanied by the Director of Works, expressed the Council’s commitment to ensuring that the office is conducive for smooth electoral activities. He assured the INEC Presiding Officer that the Council would handle the electrification of the office, further hinting that the proposal earlier submitted by INEC for renovation support would be reviewed within the week, with the aim of assisting in the upgrade of the facility.

‎ After the visit to INEC office, the Chairman proceeded on an inspection tour of the Council Secretariat to assess the progress of the ongoing renovation works. 

Members of the project management team reaffirmed their commitment to completing the jobs within the stipulated timeframe, with the goal of delivering them for commissioning as scheduled.

‎The Chairman was accompanied on the inspection by the Secretary of the Council, Mr. Amana Henshaw, Director for Works, Engr. Sampson Udofia, Supervisor for Information, Hon. Elder Charles Emene, Supervisor for Sports, Hon. Emmanuel Uweh
Councillors, and other officials.

‎The Council remains committed to improving public facilities, ensuring the success of the voter registration exercise, and delivering quality infrastructure for the benefit of the people of Urue Offong Oruko LGA.
