Early Life and Education
Born in Ayakoro, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Dr. Ogbuku began his education at Christ the King School, Port Harcourt, before proceeding to Government Secondary School, Borokiri. He went on to earn a B.Sc. in Political and Administrative Studies (2000) from the University of Port Harcourt, followed by a PGD in Sociology, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (2002), an M.Sc. in Development Studies (2013), and ultimately, a Ph.D. in Political and Administrative Studies (2021).
Career Path
Over the past two decades, Dr. Ogbuku has distinguished himself in public service, private enterprise, and community leadership. He has served as:
- Personal Assistant to the Minister of State for Petroleum (2005–2007).
- Chief of Staff to the Bayelsa State Governor (2007–2012).
- Managing Director/CEO of Fulfilled Farms Nigeria Limited (2012–2019).
- Senior Special Assistant on Niger Delta Affairs to the Deputy President of the Senate.
He also holds a traditional title as Deputy Paramount Ruler of Ayakoro Town, reflecting his deep-rooted connection to his people.

- Healthcare: Rehabilitated 142 Primary Healthcare Centres; launched a Free Healthcare Programme that has reached over 45,000 patients; deployed ambulances to strengthen emergency services.
- Education & Human Capital: Revived the Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship Programme with over 2,500 beneficiaries; distributed 45,000 digital learning tablets; refurbished schools and promoted digital literacy.
- Youth Empowerment: Transitioned the youth volunteer scheme into a structured internship for 10,000 youths; launched Project HOPE for sustainable training and entrepreneurship.
