The Secretary General of African Arab Youth Council, Abass Agaba, has appointed Comrade Akoshile Mukhtar as the West African Regional Coordinatpr for Afro Arab Youth Council.
This took place at the office of the Minister of Youth development today, in Abuja.
The Honourable Minister State for Youth Development, Hon. Olawande Ayodele Wisdom urged the youth to Promote Unity and ensure that Nigeria is of great Priority.
He also said that in taking up leadership position, Commitment has to be key.
“The only thing we can do for the youth of this country if truly we are representing the youth is to be committed to them in leadership and also in the act of serving them effectively”,
“The first thing that should come to anybody that holds any political office or any organisation, is to be committed to the office and the people”, he said.
The Secretary General of African Arab Youth Council, Abass Agaba, also said that the unifying factor between African and Arab is promotion of Peace, unity and engagement of young people.
“There are many commonalities between African and Arab based on which we can promote Unity. We can promote peace and also promote engagement of the young people in the development Agenda of the country”, he said.
The newly appointed West African Regional Coordinator, comrade Akoshile,
while speaking with our correspondent said he is ready to work for the Nigerian Youth.
“We have gotten the office of the West African Coordination of the conglomerate of African and Arab Youth in the continent, and we are ready to deliver.
We will be supporting the secretariat in Uganda to make sure that youthful programs that they have manifest. As we have been doing, We have done tremendous work as the Vice President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, and by having this portfolio we shall double up, with the support of well meaning Nigerians, young people and the media,” he said.
Other dignitaries present include, the Former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Development and FCTA Sir Olusade Olusola, President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, and National Executives and Directors of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and other youths.
