1. We wish to categorically respond to the publication titled “Post-APC Convention Chaos: Akwa Ibom Delegates Stranded in Abuja, Blast Gov. Umo Eno,” posted on the Newsline9ja blog. The report is misleading and clearly intended to misinform the public and undermine responsible leadership.
  2. We extend our profound appreciation to His Excellency, Pst. Umo Eno, PhD, Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for his exemplary stewardship and unwavering commitment to the peace, progress, and development of the state. His administration continues to enjoy widespread support and goodwill, driven by inclusive governance and people-centered policies.
  3. The allegations contained in the report are entirely unfounded and lack credibility. The individuals referenced were not among the duly accredited and constitutionally recognized delegates to the APC National Convention, and their claims do not reflect the reality of events.
  4. For the avoidance of doubt, all officially accredited delegates from Akwa Ibom State were properly catered for throughout the convention. Comprehensive arrangements covering travel logistics, accommodation, and general welfare were carefully organized, ensuring a smooth, comfortable, and hitch-free experience for participants.
  5. The APC National Convention itself was a resounding success, well-organized, peaceful, and reflective of the party’s unity and strength. This stands in clear contrast to the inaccurate and sensational claims presented in the said report.
  6. We therefore urge the public to disregard such misleading narratives, as they do not represent the true situation on ground, while reaffirming our commitment to transparency, accountability, and the welfare of party members at all times.
