Comfort Oluwatobi In a bid to stabilize food prices and ensure safety standards, the Federal Government has announced a 150-day duty-free import window for essential food commodities, including maize, wheat, husked brown rice, and cowpeas, with a recommended retail price (RRP) tag to prevent price gouging. The ECOWAS Court of Justice has dismissed a suit filed by a non-governmental organization, Human and Environmental Development Agenda Resource Centre, over alleged claims of human rights violations against Nigeria. The court dismissed the case for want of evidence. The Registered Trusty of HEDA had prayed the court to sanction Nigeria for breaching its international obligation to protect human rights.
