… says more projects underway
Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah, has urged the people of the state to remain committed to the Akwa Ibom project and sustain their support for the Umo Eno-led administration as it continues to deliver development across the state.
Umanah made the call on Friday while featuring on a live radio programme on XL FM, where he reviewed activities marking the 39th anniversary of the creation of Akwa Ibom State.
The Commissioner said the administration of Governor Eno remains focused on its development agenda and would not be distracted, stressing that the projects executed across the 31 Local Government Areas speak for themselves, even as he assured that more projects are underway.
“His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, will not be distracted by the antics of opposition elements. We are firmly on ground. This administration has a record of projects across the 31 Local Government Areas,” he said.
Umanah disclosed that the 39 projects commissioned as part of the activities marking the 39th anniversary of the state were among the 85 audacious projects undertaken by the Eno administration for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people.
He assured that the administration would sustain the pace of project commissioning, noting that such activities would continue even during the campaign and election season.
The Information Commissioner also announced that the graduation ceremony for the first cohort of trainees who underwent digital skills training at the recently commissioned Youth Development Centre in Oron would take place on October 9, 2026.
He further disclosed that digital skills and other entrepreneurial training would soon commence at other Youth Development Centres across the state as the administration continues its youth-focused development initiatives.
