The leader of Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo has defended his endorsement of Peter Obi, based on equity and fairness.
He made this statement on Arise TV when he said that Afenifere has rejected Bola Tinubu because he believes that the South East deserves to produce the President in 2023 to ensure equity and a sense of belonging.
Pa Adebanjo added that his choice of Obi was informed by the dismal performance of the ruling party APC and his conviction that the PDP made a mistake picking its Presidential candidates from the North in the person of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
