A daughter of the first Civilian Governor of Lagos state, late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, Miss Adenike Jakande has called on Nigerians irrespective of tribe and religion to rally around Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to emerge the winner of the 2023 Presidential election.
Nike made this call during a chat with some media practitioners.
She said “Jagaban” can further reunite Nigeria taking into cognisance his unity point as Lagos state Governor when Hausas, ibos and other tribes served as his aides against the earlier practice of recognition for only indigenes.
” Asiwaju is a non-tribalistic Nigerian whose team consists of all tribes that make Nigeria. At this time of trials ranging from insecurity and loss of unity amongst us, Jagaban of Borgu stands a better chance to bring us back.”
“It is, therefore, pertinent to note that ASIWAJU remains the bridge builder who can stabilize the country. Nigerians must put off sentiments if we must move forward. His campaign team has a wider spread and representation, unlike other parties that are only regional based and devoid of a true federal character representation. “
She added that before Jakande died,Tinubu sustained most of his legacies ranging from free education to healthcare and open door policy which are the expected qualities of any good leader.
“Nigerians cannot afford to lose a personality like Asiwaju to mediocrity and ethnicity. I am therefore urging all and sundry to get their PVC to vote for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu for progress and unity. Any choice other than this could spell doom for the country. “
“Since independence, we have been groping in the dark due to religious bigotry and ethnicity. It is time we seize this opportunity to elect a man of peace, developmental skills, human capacity building and national cohesion like the Jagaban Borgu Ahmed Bola Tinubu.”
