The Senate President, Senator (Chief) Godswill Obot Akpabio, is hale and hearty, contrary to false reports making the rounds on social media.

When Newsday Newspaper placed a call to confirm the rumours, it was reliably informed that the Senate President is in good health and currently in the United Kingdom on official and personal engagements.

The originator of the fake story has since recanted, yet some purveyors of falsehood continue to circulate the baseless narrative. Nigerians are urged to ignore these fabrications and rely only on verified information from credible sources.

The Senate President appreciates the concern and goodwill of citizens and remains committed to his legislative duties in service to the nation.
