Retired army general joins Kogi guber race

A retired army general, Major General Patrick Ademu Akpa, has joined the race to Lugard House, in Kogi State. Akpa, from Kogi East, said he is in the race following calls from his people to deliver them from bad leadership.

According to a statement from his media office, the leaders of Kogi State’s young professionals and some cultural bodies in the state, made the call. It added that the call urged Akpa to contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. Akpa was during his career a commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, commander of the corps of engineers, and held many directorate posts.
