A renowned Advocate for National Development and Patriotism,  Dr Ephraim Okon has issued a rallying call to Nigerians to take ownership of the country through patriotism.

He stated this at a book launch  on Patriotism in Abuja.

Dr Okon urged  individuals to contribute to the country’s growth through service, and patriotism .

“To build on its  legacy, Nigerians must recognize the importance of collective responsibility in nation-building. We must view our country as a collective project, working together to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness,” he  emphasized.

Dr. Okon stressed that every Nigerian has a unique role to play in making the country great.

“Whether as civil servants, philanthropists, or farmers, patriotic service can be demonstrated through dedication and commitment”

He encouraged citizens to look beyond the country’s challenges and work together to achieve a better future.

The Executive Director of the Institute of Strategic and Development Communication, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura highlighted the need for patriotism in Nigeria.

He noted that no nation can grow without the input of its citizen, and emphasized the importance of supporting Nigeria, regardless of its challenges.

“More than ever before, we need to develop consciousness of patriotism in our people. This is because no nation can grow beyond its citizens.

No nation grows without input from the citizen. And so if the citizens are not patriotic, you can be sure that you can never attain much development in that country”

The First Deputy President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, Dr Tommy Etim Okon urged Nigerians to be committed and patriotic to bring about national development
