Just like I emphasised in my press releases dated the 26 and 27 of July 2024, the allegations of poor hajj and misappropriation of the federal government ninety billion grant remain unsubstantiated and fallacy as the critics were unable to support their facts with evidence. For record purpose, the Federal government ninety billion grant came late but still, the Nahcon chairman Alhaji Jalal Arabi ensured that the funds were disbursed appropriately. I also participated in the 2024 hajj operation and received the Nahcon distributed money. Other pilgrims can also attest to this fact. I am imploring the Efcc chairman to ignore hear say and work according to ethical standards of the commission. The Nahcon chairman has reputation and zero tolerance for corruption having served as state House counsel, permanent secretary Inthe state house and humanitarian ministry. State pilgrims board should be blamed for some of the woes because they took charge of their accomodation and feeding with nahcon taking charge of Madina and Minna Arafat. Not even Mr President is free from some unjustified criticisms. The Efcc as an anti graft agency must act above board by going by evidence and not fiction. The formal invitation of the Nahcon chairman by the Efcc to throw light on how the federal government ninety billion grant was spent is a step in the right direction but must be done in accordance with standard rules devoid of victimisation and political influence. The efforts of the Nahcon chairman Alhaji Jalal Arabi, his chief operating officer Alhaji Olanrewaju Elegushi, commissioners and entire staff in the success of the 2024 hajj was very wonderful and laudable. A party top elected personality from the northcentral who laid some allegations on the competence, management and prudency of the Nahcon team failed to bring forward substantiated evidence. As someone who saw all that happened in Saudi Arabia, one would conclude by saying that some critics might just be envious and uncomfortable with the giant strides of the Nahcon team led by Jalal Arabi. It was very clear that some people just played politics with hajj matters. As we await a credible clearance and exoneration of the Nahcon chairman and team after interaction with Efcc,it is my fervent advise that we should always investigate matters thoroughly before running into conclusions.
