The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has confirmed that the number of participating state-owned universities has increased from 36 to 48 on the student loan application pool.

This was revealed in a statement signed by the Head, Media and Public Relations of the Fund, Nasir Ayitogo, on Wednesday.

The  statement partly reads, “With this latest addition, the total number of participating state government-owned tertiary institutions has now increased from the initial 36 announced earlier to 48. Students’ data from 121 institutions is outstanding,”

The Board also appealed to all institutions that are yet to submit their student’s data to do so to enable their students to benefit from the scheme, while also urging universities that has been uploaded to sensitise their students to apply, thereby bringing succour to  students who are struggling financially whilst also bringing guaranteed revenue to the institutions.
