The umbrella body for both print and electronic media covering the two chambers of the national Assembly known as the legislative writers forum honoured the fct squadron leader and national coordinator of the RTO/VIO mayors Dr. Yusuf John Suberu with their excellence award for his efficiency and valuable contribution to nationbuilding.
Presenting the award, the President of the forum Mr Odeh Agih, affirmed that the award was not just one of those given for exchange of notes but based on credibility, patriotism and hardwork.
He commended Dr Suberu and urged him to continue to render humanitarian service to humanity.
He stated that the forum after extending its searchlight out it purview and jurisdiction which is the national Assembly discovered the awardee to be enterprising,devoted creative and patriotic hence his nomination instead of some money bags.
The Chief provost of the FCT DRTS, Mr Sani Ibrahim was among the dignitaries present during the presentation.
In his response,Dr Yusuf John Suberu expressed satisfaction for the honour done to him by the forum which he described as a step towards the right direction that will further bring out the best in him.
He implored other well meaning Nigerians to see contribution to national development in whatever form as a civic responsibility expected of everyone as no one can do it for the betterment of our country than the citizens.
“As such,it is high time we embrace patriotism and commitment to nationbuilding. I am glad that a reputable forum made up of print journalist and broadcasters found me worthy amongst over two hundred million Nigerians in recognition of my immense contributions.
” I belief Nigeria is working, we have professional with credibility who places value to moral contribution than material contribution. I shall continue to do more and once again want to thank this noble forum doing this wonderful job”, he added.
