INEC records over 4 million fresh voters registration

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it has recorded a total number of 4,681,206 fresh registrations in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration, CVR, from all over the country.
The commission’s press secretary, Mr. Rotimi Oyekanmi disclosed this via its weekly update for quarter two of week 10 on the Continuous Voters Registration exercise on Monday.
Mr. Oyekanmi noted that, the Continuous Voters Registration has witnessed tremendous success from all over the country with both online and physical registration with a total of 2,228,993 as at Monday alone.
He added that a total number of 1,124,294 are male and 1,104,699 are female, with 21,910 people living with disability who have completed their registration.
“A total of 1,586,018 youth between the ages of 18-34 have registered, 27,519 are public servants, 862,560 are students, 88,098 civil servants and 146,633 traders have  completed their registrations even though the report and the registration is still ongoing”.
