Group calls on FG to constitute substantive NDDC board

Ogba Ethnic Nationality of Rivers state
has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria, to immediately without further delay constitute a substantive NDDC Board, to avoid further breakdown of
law and order in the country.
The group stated this in a press release signed by Com Osiah Chinedu Ojukwu, the spokesperson.
The association is giving the Federal Government 23 days from June 7th
to do the needful.
“The Nigeria Government should not compound the problems of the nation via continuous neglect to the calls of the people of the region on setting up a substantive NDDC board.
It’s an indisputable fact that the people of Niger Delta, through her resources have sustained the country’s economy”.
” If anything goes wrong in the region, we doubt if the nation can survive it, and the people of Niger Delta Region cannot afford to die in silence.
We  applaud our brothers in the persons of High Chief Government Ekpemukpolo,
(aka Tompolo), HRM King Ateke Tom the Amayanogbo of okochiri Kindom and other illustrious sons of Niger Delta on their stands on the issues affecting the region.”
The people of Ogba Ethnic Nationality, under the auspices of the youth wing, expressed displeasure over the handling of security issues in the country.
“The security challenges in Nigeria have shouldered a dreadful magnitude that not only requires an immediate but a careful approach.
The Nigeria government should rise to its responsibility as the inability of the government to diplomatically handle the issue of security and nepotism is the sole reason the country has been enmeshed in a pool of insecurity, leading to scores of death of citizens across the Nation.”
“The number of violence is increasingly becoming the regular signature
that has characterized the Nigerian Nation which we can beat our chest to say that it is out of negligence and carelessness on the side of the government.”
