The Arewa youths for peace and security has called on President  Bola Tinubu to wade into the exclusion of the FCT in the latest appointment of commissioners for the Public Complaints Commission.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, the Special Assistant to the AYPAS Secretary General Aisha Ubandoma described the exclusion as an affront on the practice of a true federal character principle where every geo political zone, state and the FCT is expected to have a representative in the various public sectors.

“Hon.  Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa had earlier represented the FCT in the PCC but to our dismay, he was not reappointed why? He had performed creditably well in the last tenure that expired recently.

“For enthronement of equity, justice and fairplay,we demand an immediate reappointment of hon Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa as federal commissioner representing the FCT at the PCC.

“FCT as the seat of power has been neglected in scheme of things, outside the Minister of Special Duties,a Federal Permanent Secretary,no other feasible federal appointment. President Bola Tinubu should without delay order the reappointment of hon Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa as PCC federal commissioner in the interest of FCT people.

“The appointment of a former deputy of Kogi state HON Onoja is unacceptable, null and void because the FCT has competent and qualified candidate who had served earlier like Hon Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa.

“We strongly advise and call on Mr President to reverse the appointment of Former Kogi Deputy governor Edward Onoja as Federal Commissioner representing the fct and replace him with the preferred indigene HON Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa as the qualified FCT Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commissioner in the interest of peace, equity, justice and fairplay.

“We strongly oppose the appointment of a non indigene to represent the FCT. Mr President, you are a good listener and we expect action of reversal on the mistaken and misinformed filling of the fct slot by Kogi state former deputy governor Mr Edward Onoja. We shall not relent until our demands are met,” Ubandoma said.
