Education stakeholders meet to deliberate on Out of school children issues in Nigeria

Proprietors and Educationists from all parts of Nigeria converged to discuss the theme of their annual conference tagged ” Tracking the out of school children who is doing what,? The event which had in attendance many school owners, versatile educationists and resource persons deliberated on the need to make education affordable at all levels and at less cost.

The President of the association emphasised the need for all members to come together to make the impact of education felt in all nook and crannies of the country through working on the mission and vision of the association.

He implored them to use the knowledge gathered through the seminar to expand their scope for efficiency.

Prof. James Tooley, Vice chancellor of Buckingham University who delivered his paper via zoom did justice to part of the topic after which question and answer followed.Other speakers were Dr. Folake Olatunji David.The recap on day two was made by Ibrahim Mujtaba.

In his welcome speech, the President of AFED Hon. Orji emphasised the need to look into the future of education and proffer solutions to the reduction of out of school children.
Stating that Afed’s mission is just that and expect different stakeholders to make it a reality.
AFED according to him has been launched in Abia, after the last conference and also have Kano,Ilorin and Nasarawa waiting on the list.
He described Professor Tooley the VC of Buckingham University as champion of low cost education worldwide. Reeling out that Prof. Tooley has carried out several pieces of research and still in a bid to prove to the world that the association is at the forefront in reducing out of school children because most of these children would have been onthe street. He crowned it up by calling for active involvement,commitment to leadership and continued support .
