The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained a former governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, for questioning over alleged fraudulent cash withdrawals to the tune of ₦189 billion. A source at the commission who declined to be named confirmed the incident to media on Monday. The official said the withdrawals were in flagrant violation of the Money Laundering (Prevention & Prohibition) Act, 2022. The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has condemned the release of an indecent video of the Ibom Air Passenger, Comfort Emmanson, who was accused of assaulting a crew member at the on Sunday. Keyamo said that while the filming of her unruly behaviour as evidence to prosecute her was in order, the release of the video to the public to ridicule her was deplorable and unacceptable. A female passenger, Comfort Emmanson, who allegedly assaulted airline officials on an Ibom Air flight inbound Lagos from Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, has been charged in court. Tunde Moshood, the spokesman to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, said Emmanson had also been remanded at the Kirikiri correctional centre in Lagos. Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has empowered 1187 persons with N492.7m farm, trade, and business grants in Uyo Federal Constituency.
