The Arewa Youth for Peace and Security has strongly advised President Muhammadu Buhari to consider the choice of AIG Moses Ambakina Jitoboh, as the next inspector General of police for true federal character, competence and transparency.
The Group’s director of publicity Salihu Dantata Mahmud, made this call during a joint interaction between security analysts and journalists in Abuja.
Going by the positive antecedents of the AIG, he is the only bridge builder that can further bring back the dented image of the force to repute.
As a South southerner particularly coming from a volatile state like Bayelsa, tackling insecurity will be a child’s play to him.
After, Idris Mohammed, it was Adamu Mohammed, all northerners,it is high time we shift it to our brothers who always support the north in trying times.
The CNS and the COAS are from northwest, so if the CDS and IG also comes from the south south it is balanced.
“We in the Arewa youths stand for national unity, cohesion and integration and not sentiment. Many lower ranks of the police have attested to the welfarism of the AIG, which demonstrates that all can be well in welfare related issues of the rank and file which has in the past killed morale and discouraged gallantry, performance and enhancement.”
Equal representation is a true federalism, for peace to rain let the needful be done.
