The South-South Zonal office of the ruling all Progressives Congress wishes to inform members of the public, especially in Bayelsa state, that contrary to rumours making the rounds that any vote for the party on Saturday will be a waste arising from an earlier court judgement , the APC is participating fully at the elections.
This position is legal as the party has already secured a stay of execution order from the Federal High Court in Yenagoa and has also successfully filed an appeal against the said judgement delivered earlier today.
This step legally taken by our party has cancelled out the position of INEC which was made public by Festus Okoye, a Federal Commissioner, which formed the basis of that information.
While we await the outcome of our appeal, we wish to strongly condemn the judgement, which all legal experts have described as a procured judgement as the trial judge abandoned the reliefs sought by the litigant and embarked on a voyage of discovery to nullify our party primaries.
For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to inform our members and the electorate that the litigant had prayed that he be declared the winner of the primaries which were conducted in line with all known principles of democracy.
It is, therefore, one of eight wonders of the world that the learned judge left the prayers and delivered a judgement outside of the reliefs sought.
We enjoin our members and the electorate to discountenance the rumours and vote massively for the All Progressives Congress on Saturday as the party is very much in the race for victory.
