A prominent stakeholder, Chief Edet Isong, has congratulated the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Umo Eno, on the successful inaugural flight to Ghana, describing it as a historic achievement for the state.
In a statement made available to the press, Chief Isong , Okete Okete Oro praised the governor for making possible the completion of the International Wing of the Victor Attah International Airport, noting that the development marks a major leap in positioning Akwa Ibom as a gateway for international travel and economic activities.
He further applauded the governor’s leadership style, which he said has continued to yield visible progress across various sectors of the state. According to him, the administration’s commitment to infrastructural development and people-oriented policies is steadily transforming Akwa Ibom into a model of growth and prosperity.
Chief Isong stated that the successful Ghana flight not only enhances connectivity but also opens up new opportunities for trade, tourism, and investment, thereby boosting the state’s global relevance.
He also called on citizens and residents of Akwa Ibom State to continue to pray for the governor and support his administration, urging them to sustain their backing for the success of his leadership in the 2027 general elections.
He wished Governor Umo Eno continued wisdom, strength, and success in delivering more dividends of democracy to the people of Akwa Ibom State.
