Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on Monday embarked on an extensive six-hour inspection of key projects across Nsit Ubium and Eket Local Government Areas, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to timely project delivery as the dry season approaches.

The Governor, who began the day with a series of assessments across communities in both LGAs, inspected the construction of Model Healthcare Centres, ongoing intervention roads, internal and external access roads, and the Ofriyo–Idua–Eket Road and bridge. These projects form part of the rural development component of the ARISE Agenda.

The inspection continued late into the night as Governor Eno arrived at the Ibom Model Farm in Nsit Ubium to evaluate ongoing construction works and installed facilities at the agricultural hub.

Speaking on why he chose to conduct unscheduled late-night assessments, the Governor said the timing was deliberate.

“Time is of essence. We have to take advantage of the impending dry season to meet our delivery deadlines,” he stated.

Governor Eno reiterated his commitment to hands-on governance, noting that frequent field visits ensure quality assurance, speed, and value across all ongoing state projects.

He was accompanied on the tour by the Executive Assistant and Chief Delivery Advisor, Mr. Aniefiok Johnson; Commissioner for Works, Prof. Eno Ibanga; Commissioner for Information, Dr. Aniekan Umanah; and other senior government aides.
