Stakeholders flay DRTS Director’s plan to replace operations deputy director with a non professional

All is presently not well among the stakeholders and staffs of the fct directorate of road traffic service (drts) over a rumoured plan of the incumbent director in charge of the directorate to appoint an incompetent, unprofessional and non operation staff to replace the former deputy director in charge of operations who has proceeded on pre retirement leave.
One of the stakeholders who spoke under condition of anonymity warned and advised the new director who is less than a year in office after his redeployment by the fct Minister to the directorate from the fct security services department.
Other staffs who also lend their voice emphasised that sycophancy is making one unprofessional assistant director who is just four years old in the directorate after her reposting from fct administration department to by all means Lobby to occupy the seat that is not hers.
The standard in the directorate is that a core professional and career operations staff heads the operations department and we cannot say that there are no qualified assistant directors.
The Fct Minister, Permanent secretary and director in charge of human resource should please intervene so as to ensure efficiency in the directorate.
Presently, indiscipline, overzealousness and lack of adherence to operational guidelines are denting the image of the directorate before the general public.
“Staffs cannot afford to work under another incompetent and unprofessional head of operations. The earlier the Fct Minister call the director to order the better. The drts so far has been living up to expectation as regards its  operations and discharge of duties but the unnecessary interference on appointment of non professional will not only spell doom but promote disunity, indiscipline and sow the seed of discord as negative precedence will be set”, he added.
