Dr.Ime Umanah’s widow drums support for Nsima Ekere

Obonganwan Nene Ime Umanah, widow of late elder statesman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ime Umanah, has enjoined Akwa Ibom People to “support Obong Nsima Ekere’s governorship ambition for the liberation of the state from incompetent leadership.”

She made the declaration in Abak, Friday, when House of Representatives aspirant and former Deputy Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Uwem Udoma played host to members of his campaign organization including chapter, ward and unit coordinators.

Madam Umanah, who said Akwa Ibom State has retrogressed developmentally, stressed that Abak Federal Constituency has been marginalized by the incumbent Udom Emmanuel administration.

“The present PDP administration has marginalized this federal constituency. We deserve good roads, our children deserve good employment. Abak federal constituency and people from all parts of the state should support Obong Nsima Ekere and APC because the present administration in Akwa Ibom State is not ready to better our lives. The leadership of the state must change hands in 2019”, she declared.

Obonganwan Umanah further noted that Ekere’s choice of a son of Abak federal constituency, Dr. Amadu Attai, as his running mate underlines his love for the area, and assured that the people will reciprocate at the poll.

She expressed happiness over the sustenance of APC in Akwa Ibom State.
“APC has grown to be a strong political force in Nigeria and Akwa Ibom State, it means that my late husband’s legacy has been sustained.
I am proud of this party, I pray for the repose of his soul.”
